The strange object flying in the sky last night had people in Galway and across the country wondering if aliens had visited us. Galway West TD poll survey Cathal Byrne told Galway Beo: "I was coming home from work and as we were getting ready to go to Letterfrack after Kylemore Abbey we seen this strange light that didn't look like a helicopter or plane." "It was way too big, especially seeing it in person. And then we got out the car, and the sky just lit up around the strange object which was moving slowly and then slowing building up the speed. "I've never seen anything like this before in my life. It was so strange around the object it was just a light. "The best way I could describe the glow around the object was like if you seen a heatwave on the ground but it was like a glowing gas and then it disappears. I took a video and some pictures in night vision mode on my phone and you can clearly see it's some metal round object with lights. "Where we live in Renvyle, Connemara, Co Galway, we don't ever see anything like this. Before some reports are saying it's Falcon 9 dumping fuel which it could be. But, if it was, why was it moving fast enough and not spreading around the sky if it was fuel? "Definitely doesn't line up with what I found. Strange is how it just moves all the way around the mountain and disappears."
