Sci-fi epic ‘War with No Name’ book series to be adapted into Webtoon and possible animated television series By on October 24, 2025 Curtis Baxter is a writer who has done work both in television and comics. Some of his projects include the animated series Ben 10 and Marvel comics such as Storm: Lifedream #1 and Miles Morales: Spider-Man Annual #1. His latest venture will have him drawing upon his experience in both mediums. Baxter acquired the rights to Robert Repino’s sci-fi book franchise War with No Name. He will write and executive produce a Webtoon series. The first season will comprise of 35 episodes and will span the Mort(e) and Culdesac arcs from the four-part book series. A piece of early character design concept art was released from artist/illustrator MuYoung Kim (see above). Kisai Entertainment, Indonesia’s leading Webtoon production house, is on board to produce the series. The story takes place under the backdrop of a battle between an intelligent race of ants and an oppressive human regime. Fighting on the front lines are the surface animals who have been transformed into high-functioning two legged beings like former house cat Mort(e). However, Mort(e) isn’t fighting for the ants, but to find his long lost friend, a dog named Sheba. In addition to the Webtoon series, Baxter is also developing a War with No Name animated television series. It will consist of eight episodes and dive deeper into each of the character’s individual journeys. The War with No Name Webtoon series is expected to debut in early 2026.
