Soon, he discovers his purpose, and undertakes an important mission. As per the logline, Ryland is tasked with solving the "riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out". As he uses his "scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas", Ryland is graced with an "unexpected friendship". From there, we see Ryland being recruited for the important mission before a breathtaking look at his surroundings in outer space, with the visuals in particular looking to be a strong suit of the film.
