With a big budget and immense talent behind the camera, this could be one of the biggest releases of 2026. The film sees Gosling portray Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship lightyears away from home with no recollection of his past. Soon, he discovers his purpose, and undertakes an important mission. As per the logline, Ryland is tasked with solving the "riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out". As he uses his "scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas", Ryland is graced with an "unexpected friendship". What to Read Next With the film set to hit the big screen in March , Amazon MGM Studios have released a bulky three-minute trailer in preparation, with the clip being soundtracked to Oasis' 'Champagne Supernova'. From there, we see Ryland being recruited for the important mission before a breathtaking look at his surroundings in outer space, with the visuals in particular looking to be a strong suit of the film.
