The limited-time immersive pop-up begins Nov. 22, 2025, at the Promenade in Santa Monica, California. Guests can enjoy two classic Japanese arcade experiences: SEGA ’s UFO Toy Catcher, a claw machine, and TOMY’s Gacha, a capsule toy vending machine. Both machines and companies are icons of Japanese arcade culture. Gacha machines, which dispense collectible toys in plastic capsules, originated in Japan in the 1960s and have become a pop-culture staple, offering surprise and instant reward. TOMY popularized the format with its Gacha brand. It now features thousands of miniature figures and seasonal exclusives collected from around the world. The pop-up features more than 100 gacha capsule machines, more than 300 exclusive prizes, and several UFO Catcher claw machines.
