Watch: Millie Bobby Brown Reveals How She Found Out Stranger Things' Ending Before Her Costars Millie Bobby Brown doesn’t just play a detective onscreen. The Enola Holmes star put her sleuthing skills to work ahead of the ongoing fifth and final season of Stranger Things , revealing how she uncovered the sci-fi series’ highly-anticipated conclusion before the rest of her castmates. “I didn't really know how I was going to react,” she said on the Dec. 7 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , “and then the night before the last table read, we didn't know what was gonna happen—nobody knew. I actually did know.” Joking that she likes to “blackmail the directors,” Millie—who announced she adopted a baby girl with husband Jake Bongiovi in August—revealed how she managed to gather the highly-classified intel. “I snuck into the writers’ room and I saw this really big whiteboard with all of the endings on it,” she shared. “And I was like, ‘Ahh, so much to process!’” This Stranger Things Season 5 Editing Error Has Fans Upside Down With Laughter But when it came time to go over the script for the series finale, the 21-year-old admitted that the experience proved to take quite an emotional toll. “We didn't sit at a table,” she recalled. “We sat on couches, and we cried for basically two hours straight.” Todd Owyoung/NBC Indeed, having spent nearly a decade working together, Millie and her costars—including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp and Caleb McLaughlin—have evolved significantly over the years both onscreen and off. “I grew up on the show, I traveled the world with these guys,” Caleb told E! News in May. “I'm really humbled and grateful for the experience.” And the 24-year-old intends to carry what he’s learned on set into his future career endeavors. “I've changed, I grew, I've been molded, I've been influenced,” he continued. “Stranger Things has set the bar high for me and my creative look on a lot of things.” Volume two of Stranger Things season five premieres on Netflix Christmas Day, followed by the series finale on New Year’s Eve.
