The coming-of-age series also stars Kyle Howard as Ben’s new stepfather and Abigail Pniowsky as his stepsister, Max. He was introduced to television audiences in 2019 when he landed a role on Heartland for one season. Since then, his star has been steadily on the rise. In 2022, he had a lead role in the Prime Video sci-fi thriller Encounter, playing the resourceful son of a troubled marine played by Riz Ahmed. After filming Me, he went on to play Teo in the live-action, big-budgeted Netflix reboot of Avatar: The Last Airbender in Vancouver. He just wrapped Season 3 of the series earlier this year. Article content Last year, he shot the Crave mini-series The Borderline, formerly known as Underbelly, in Toronto. It stars The Arrow’s Stephen Amell and Oscar-nominee Minnie Driver in a story about a border-town cop battling a crime syndicate operating between Canada and the U.S. Chauhan plays the younger version of a character played by Hamza Haq, the Canadian Screen Award-winning actor from CTV’s Transplant. Article content “I can’t say too much about it, but I can say that I had to do boxing training for it and I got a chance to meet some really incredible people like Hamza Haq, who is an incredible Canadian actor,” he says. “They got me training a couple of sessions every week for a month or two before I was filming in Toronto. It was pretty crazy. I’m used to fight training, but this was another level.” Article content Chauhan is in Grade 11 and continues to go out on auditions.
